Patrick Paul, Intern Spotlight November 2011 - Massachusetts College of Pharmacy
Patrick Paul, from Boston, MA, is currently a fourth year Pharm. D at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Boston Campus. Encouraged by his mother and cousin, who is a pharmacist, to go into pharmacy, he chose to pursue it as a career. Patrick started his career with Supervalu as a cashier at Shaw’s Supermarket in Hyde Park, MA during his senior of high school. He later voiced his interest in doubling as a technician in the in-store Osco Pharmacy in his second year of pharmacy school to the manager and later became a full-fledged pharmacy intern beginning his third year of MCPHS. Shopping in the neighborhood store from an early age he never saw himself climbing up the ranks to obtaining such a position.
This past summer Patrick was chosen to be a Summer Intern for the 2011 Supervalu Pharmacy Internship. He found it to be a challenging eight-week internship filled, with fun and growth as student and person. The internship made him grow as a public speaker and as a true professional in the business. Also on account of his experience with Supervalu this past summer, he was able to come to the decision that he would like to further pursue a law degree following graduation in 2014. H hopes that upon obtaining a JD he will be able to practice pharmacy law in the Supervalu corporate offices in Chicago. |

As a pre- professional student, Yakov attended Portland State University where he received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Micro/Molecular Biology. While attending undergrad, Yakov worked as a professional tutor, teaching both French and Advanced Russian languages.
